If ‘fly like an eagle’ reminds you of no more than a Steve Miller ditty, you have obviously not been watching enough Bollywood masala flicks.
Because then, you would know that when duty or beauty calls, our heroes can not only hop, skip and jump, but also valiantly defy all laws of physics; gravity and Newton be damned. And no, this is not just the prerogative of the superhuman among heroes, also known as
Rajinikanth.
The man has fierce, often otherworldy, competition. Think Salman’s dabangg stunts when he bravely put aside all concerns of being suspended in mid-air to focus his energies on firing well-aimed shots from his police revolver. There’s more: remember how Shah Rukh on a cycle-rickshaw could chase, and, hold on, overtake an SUV? (That’s right, those are the cars you pay truckloads of money for, just so you can avoid such tricky situations). And who can forget Akshay Kumar on a speedboat overpowering the villain in... again, hold your breath... a helicopter! Now if only you had taken those martial art lessons like Mr Bhatia.
On land, water, air and everything in between and beyond, it’s god speed literally, when our heroes get down to business – namely, settling scores with the kuttes and kamineys who never seem to leave Bollywood alone.
